PCMC property tax calculation is based on a percentage of a property’s actual value. It is calculated based on the ready reckoner analysis or circular rate used by the revenue department.
The calculation for the property tax in Pune is available on the PCMC website. Here’s how to calculate the PCMC property tax.
Step 1: Visit the PCMC website.
Step 2: From the drop-down menu, select the zone.
Step 3: After you have selected the zone, you need to choose whether you are a resident, non-resident, or an industrial owner.
A. For the “resident” category, there are the following sub-type options-
- Dwelling house
- Parking area
- Vacant land
- Keeping farm equipment barn or granary
B. For the “Non-resident” category, there are the following sub-type options-
- Parking area
- Used for open space business outside of construction area
- Playground open space
- Educational institute
- Nursing home
- Hotel / Lodge / Cinema / Theatre
- Mars offices
- Mobile tower
- Petrol pump
- Poultry farm
- Nursery
- Public property of a community, temples, welfare centers, and
- places of worship
- Swimming pool and stadium building
- New information technology building
- Vacant land
- Transport city
- Educational institutions dormitories
C. For the “Industrial” category
- Mobile tower
- All types of industrial uses
Step 4: Select the Sub-Use type and the Construction type.
Step 5: Enter the Property Area and you will get the Annual Rateable Value.
Step 6: Select “Calculate Property Tax.”
Step 7: You will be shown the PCMC property tax online.
