The price for their inexpensive models: Outlander is Rs.32.02 lakhs and Pajero Sport is Rs.33.09 lakhs. While the top model in the line, Montero starts from Rs.68.63 lakhs. Out of these three models, the Mitsubishi Outlander is the petrol model and the rest two are diesel versions.

Considering the cost of cars, you should also think of buying a car insurance policy. Though the cars are low maintenance still insurance will be helpful. It is a mandatory document you must carry while driving in India.

  • Serious off-roading: These cars are capable of taking on any road, powerful engines and big wheel arches will enable you to cross the hills!!! A long drive on highways is a cake-walk for these beasts.

Why is it important to buy Mitsubishi Car Insurance?

  • Legal Compliance: As per the Motor Vehicles Act, it is mandatory to have a Car Insurance. You are not allowed to drive a car without an insurance policy. And if you do so, you will be bound to pay Rs.2000/- as a penalty imposed.
  • Own Damage Repairs: Car Insurance Policy will pay you when your car needs repair due to some damages. Such losses may arise due to fire, theft, accident, and natural calamities.
  • Third-Party Legal Liability: If you happen to hurt someone or damage a third person’s property, then you are responsible to pay for such losses. With an insurance policy, the insurance company will take such responsibilities on your behalf even when you are at fault.
  • Widen the Basic Car Insurance: When you wish to extend the basic coverage, you can buy some add-on covers. It will help you protect your car for losses that are not covered under the basic car insurance policy such as tyre bulges, tyre bursts, engine breakdown due to water ingression.

Factors that affect Mitsubishi Car Insurance Premium

  • Type of Insurance Policy: For a Car Insurance, if you buy a Comprehensive Package Policy, then the premium will be more in comparison to that of the Third-Party Liability Policy. It is because the Comprehensive Package has the components of Own Damage Cover and Third-Party Liability.
  • Age of the Car: If the age of the vehicle is more, then a higher depreciation will be applicable and the IDV will be reduced. So the insurance premium may also decrease with time.
  • Value of the Car: The IDV that you choose will affect the premium. For a low IDV, the premium will be less and vice versa.
  • Add-On Covers: For every add-on cover you choose, the premium will increase. The coverage with any add-on comes with the additional premium payment.
  • No-Claim Bonus: You get a discount for every claim-free year. This is allowed at the time of renewal of your car policy.
  • Age of the Vehicle: Over the course of time, the depreciation cost on your car increases. In contrast, the IDV of your vehicle decreases. Both of these factors may lead to a decline in your premium amount.
  • Geographical location: The location where the car is going to be used has a great impact on the premium. Such as, for urban cities where the number of cars is higher, the premium will be comparatively higher. It is because the probability of accidents becomes high due to vehicle density on the roads.
  • Engine Capacity: The engine capacity determines the price of the third party premium which is a part of your car insurance premium. So higher the CC of the car engine, higher will be the premium.
  • Voluntary Deductible: When you decide to make a contribution in the claim amount, then it is called as choosing a voluntary deductible. Higher voluntary deductible results in a lower premium.
