• Step 4: Enter your UID number, security code, and hit “Send OTP.”
• Step 5: Login upon entering your received OTP.
• Step 6: Next, take the help of an “Address Verifier” to receive an “Address Validation Letter” with a “Secret Code.”
• Step 7: Thereafter, you can revisit the website and login to proceed with the option “Update Address via Secret Code.” 
• Step 8: Provide the “Secret Code,” your new address and hit “Submit.”

The authorities will receive your request after completing this process.

You must have noticed the advice to note your Update Request Number (URN) that you receive upon submitting a correction request. This number serves exactly this purpose. Individuals can check the status of the Aadhaar update using their URN in the following manner.

Step 1: Go to the UIDAI portal to check the Aadhaar update status.

Step 2: Provide your URN. You can alternatively enter your 12-digit UID number to get your URN.

Step 3: Complete Captcha verification and click on “Check Status” to proceed.

The next screen will display a message detailing the progress of your received correction request.
