Coronavirus Helpline Numbers in India (Central & State Govt Helpline)

On 24th March 2020, the Honourable Prime Minister of India announced a nationwide lockdown for 21 days, effective from 00.00 hours on 25th March 2020. With the number of confirmed cases in our country almost on the verge of breaching 500, this might be the only way to curb this rapid spread of Covid-19.

Further, in an effort to strengthen the containment of this disease, the government has also made several coronavirus helpline numbers available to citizens of India. These helpline numbers can be utilised to launch any queries regarding this disease or report any suspected coronavirus cases to the local district surveillance units.

  • The Union Health Ministry activated a toll-free 24x7 helpline number on 16th March 2020 to address the queries about Covid-19. National toll-free helpline number – 1075.
  • This toll-free number will be available in addition to the previously existing helpline number - +91-11-23978046.

WhatsApp Number

Coronavirus Whatsapp Helpline by Indian Government

The government has also launched a chatbot on WhatsApp in an attempt to raise awareness about the disease and curb the spread of misinformation.

Users of this messaging platform can reach out to the health ministry at +91-9013151515. You can find relevant answers to your Covid-19 related queries by messaging “Hi” to this number.

You will then receive an automatically generated message from the helpline, following which you can post your query.
